FALLENDER STERNENHIMMEL AUF PAPIER

8 photographs, each 30 x 40 cm, mounted on Alu-Dibond
2019

A photograph of a starry sky is used as the basis for an A3-size template made with reflective paint. The distribution of the stars allows the use of the GOM ARAMIS point tracking system, which can capture points or patterns on a surface spatially in stereoscopic images. The falling of the paper—and the descent path of each individual star—is captured by two cameras. For the series Falling Starry Sky on Paper one case is selected from a multitude of shots.
