Wenn ich von der Erde Richtung Weltraum schaue, sehe ich den Himmel: eine dünne Schicht Atmosphäre, die das Sonnenlicht streut. Heute ist der Zustand der Atmosphäre durch die Tätigkeit des Menschen höchst gefährdet. Am Himmel ereignen sich flüchtige Prozesse wie Wetter, Wind, Wolken, Regen und Sonnenschein.  

Für die Werkreihe Regenvariationen fange ich auf präparierten Papieren an unterschiedlichen Orten auf der Welt Regen ein: Wie stürzt, nieselt, tanzt oder weint es aus dem Himmel? Welche Regenstrukturen schlagen sich nieder?

When I look from the Earth toward outer space, I see the sky — a thin layer of atmosphere that scatters sunlight. Today, the state of this atmosphere is highly endangered by human activity. In the sky, fleeting processes take place — weather, wind, clouds, rain, and sunshine.

For the series Rain Variations, I capture rain on specially prepared papers in different locations around the world: how does it pour, drizzle, dance, or weep from the sky? What rain structures leave their trace?
